Since 1985, DLDC Eisteddfod Teams have consistently been top performers at competitions and eisteddfods throughout Australia.

At DLDC, we have a policy of developing and nurturing self-confidence and self-esteem in our students through encouraging their participation in eisteddfod groups and solo performances.

Our performers have won championships many times over at all major South-East Queensland competitions; including Brisbane, Tropicarnival, Twin Towns, Redlands and Bundaberg. As well, DLDC has proudly represented Queensland talent at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney's McDonalds Performing Arts Challenge, taking first place against many top Sydney performing arts schools in open jazz, song and dance and tap sections.

DLDC individual students have also been highly successful over the years winning solo age championships in classical ballet, jazz, song and dance and tap at all the major eisteddfods held in South-East Queensland.

It is through competition that students come to realise how much potential they have and how to develop it. Many students will move on to fulfill their careers outside of the performing arts industry, however, the skills of motivation, time management, self-discipline and team work, along with the obvious physical and health benefits such as muscle and skeletal development, posture, deportment and co-ordination will stand by students throughout their lives.

Our students make friends for life when they belong and commit to our eisteddfod teams. For many of our past students, their years at dancing were among the most vibrant and fun times of their lives.
