DAVIDIA LIND Principal and Artistic Director Qualified RAD Teacher, CSTD Theatrical and Tap Teacher Bachelor of Human Movement Studies [UQ] Qualified Workplace Trainer and Assessor. Davidia has taught children from age of 3 through to professional level for 30 years and has successfully prepared thousands of students for examinations with extremely high standards of results in all areas. Many of Davidia's past students are now working within the entertainment industry in musical theatre, commercial dance, television, film and modelling. TAMRA LIND Artistic and Choreographic Co-director Currently in London, Tamra is dancing and choreographing throughout the UK, having appeared with Pink at the British Music Awards, and in the new streetdance musical Bounce. More recently she has toured with Cliff Richard & Will Young (UK Idol) Back in Australia she performed in the musical productions of West Side Story, Grease The Arena Spectacular and Fame, danced at the Opening Ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and has appeared in many video clips and television shows. SIMON LIND Artistic and Choreographic Co-director Currently in Sydney, Simon has performed in the major Australian musical productions of West Side Story, Grease the Arena Spectacular, Jolson, Singin' in The Rain, The Boy from Oz and Jupiter's Casino shows, aswell as dancing with the cast of Bootmen at the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. He has toured extensively overseas as a performer, and has danced and choreographed for many television shows, video clips, live concerts and conventions including Delta Goodrem’s Visualise Tour 2005. More recently Simon has choreographed for Human Nature, Paulini and The Young Divas. MOST RECENTLY SIMON HAS APPEARED IN THE HIT MOVIE "HAPPY FEET" NOW SCREENING ACROSS THE WORLD! CARMEL NOLAN A.R.A.D. (Adv) Head of Classical Ballet Division Senior & Full Time Students Carmel is a very experienced and talented classical ballet teacher who is highly respected throughout Australia. Many of her past students have entered into professional careers in classical ballet, and many have been accepted into the prestigious Australian Ballet School and Company. Carmel's professional dance career saw her in the Australian Ballet Company and later as soloist with the Queensland Ballet Company MICHELLE GIAMMICHELLE Classical Division Since 1981 Michelle's career has included contracts with The Vienna Ballet Theatre, The London City Ballet, Ballet Ireland and with the Queensland Ballet representing an outstanding two decades as a performer in this competitive and demanding industry. VICKI HOLLYMAN Classical Division DIANNA LASKA MOORE Character Teacher As Artistic Director of World Dance Company Brisbane, Dianna has studied and travelled the world. Currently Dianna is also lecturer for Character and Folk Dance at Univeristy of Technology, Brisbane. ALISON ROGERS & GREG MOORE Head of Singing Division Full Time Students Alison, Greg and more recently Dimitri form the Vocal Manouvres team which conducts the singing and musicianship units of the Advanced Diploma and Diploma. Alison's high standard of performance at both the students level and corporate level makes Vocal Manouvres a very valued members of our faculty. RAW METAL Head of Tap Division Full Time Students RAW Dance Company provides our tap teachers for our full time tap classes. RAW provides a diverse education service which utilizes some of Australia's best young talent in all genres of the entertainment industry. RAW Dance Company members are known throughout the world for the energetic and cutting edge shows. Yuri is a former world champion acrobat originally from Russia DESI LASKARUS Nutrition Lecturer Full Time Students Bachelor of Applied Science [QUT] Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics EMMA MYERS Assistant Teacher Junior and Senior Students Jazz Technique Full Time Teacher Emma has performed at the Opening Ceremony of the Goodwill Games, the Indy Car Carnival, the RAQ Fashion Awards, and many children's shows and pantomimes. Her performing has even taken her to the USA. She has been with DLDC since she was a student at 3 years of age. Emma most recently worked on the choreographic and dance team of Simon Gallaher's Showstoppers Workshop 2007. DALE PENGELLY Musical Theatre / Cabaret Dale is Queensland trained singer / dancer who went on to the Australian Ballet. Since 1982 to 2005 Dale has played many principal and leading roles in Musical Theatre including DJ Monty in "Saturday Night Fever", Don Lockwood in "Singin' in the Rain" and understudy for Peter Allen in "Boy From Oz". TRISTAN COULTER Hip Hop Tristan brings with him the very latest hip hop style from London having danced in UK and Europe for many years.
